Funny story: One of my good friends Danielle works for Travel Wisconsin. And she is all kinds of excited for the hub-bub this is causing.  And yes, I too use my hand as a reference for the state of Wisconsin. People seem to understand it better that way. andrewwiech: Hey Wisconsin, Michigan called and they’re pissed.  Just read some of the comments on the Travel Wisconsin Facebook page.  And this. Battle of the mittens. In all honesty, when I tell people specifically where I’m from in Wisconsin, I raise my left hand and point to the southeastern part of my palm with my right hand.
